With multiple\u00a0applications and a stringent deadline, the migration was complex. Additionally, ERGO was\u00a0looking for a cost-effective and highly secure solution to efficiently handle its data influx.\u00a0Another challenge was that the company&#8217;s corporate website faced inconsistencies, with\u00a0users accessing it via two different variations of the domain. This led to fragmented user\u00a0experiences.\u00a0\u200b<\/p>\n\n<p>With its headquarters in Germany, ERGO faced significant security challenges in transmitting\u00a0traffic from its Singapore site, requiring robust encryption. Network stability issues caused\u00a0recurrent disruptions in their operations. Furthermore,\u00a0as an insurance company, ERGO\u00a0faced stringent compliance regulations and required robust disaster recovery capabilities to\u00a0protect its critical data and operations. The company also\u00a0sought to optimize its\u00a0infrastructure, eliminate wasteful resources, and fortify its security measures to combat\u00a0evolving threats.\u200b<\/p>\n\n<p>Another key challenge was to prevent any impacts on critical business applications caused by\u00a0disruptions experienced by ERGO\u2019s DNS hosting vendor. Lastly, ERGO\u00a0wanted to cut down\u00a0costs around one of the applications and its database, deployed on separate servers, which\u00a0ran only for a short\u00a0time period\u00a0every month.\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Blazeclan\u2019s\u00a0Transformative Approach to Helping ERGO Unlock\u00a0Full Business Potential<\/strong>\u200b<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cloud Migration and Data Management<\/strong>\u200b<\/h3>\n\n<p>As an AWS partner, the\u00a0Blazeclan\u00a0team meticulously migrated ERGO&#8217;s applications to AWS\u00a0within the stipulated timeline. ERGO Insurance Singapore, among the 30 entities of the ERGO\u00a0Group, was the first to move its entire on-premises environment to the cloud. In addition, to\u00a0efficiently manage the data influx, the\u00a0Blazeclan\u00a0team devised a script that intelligently\u00a0copied data from each database server to a secure S3 bucket, guaranteeing a retention\u00a0period of 7 days. It reduced manual efforts for the ERGO team, eliminated data loss\u00a0concerns, and resulted in substantial cost savings.\u200b<\/p>\n\n<p>Blazeclan\u00a0championed ERGO&#8217;s continuity by proposing a robust solution. Migrating ERGO&#8217;s\u00a0DNS records to AWS Route 53 increased availability and eliminated the risk of application\u00a0downtime caused by external factors. ERGO harnessed the power of AWS, ensuring\u00a0uninterrupted operations and maximizing customer satisfaction.\u200b<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Website Traffic Redirection and Security<\/strong>\u200b<\/h3>\n\n<p>To address the inconsistencies faced by the corporate website, the\u00a0Blazeclan\u00a0team set up a\u00a0reverse proxy, seamlessly redirecting all domain variations to ERGO\u2019s preferred\u00a0&#8220;www&#8221;\u00a0domain.\u00a0To ensure\u00a0secure\u00a0transmission of traffic while concealing its identity,\u00a0the\u00a0Blazeclan\u00a0implemented cutting-edge netting techniques.\u00a0Through meticulous analysis, the\u00a0Blazeclan\u00a0team identified the root cause of network instability and provided insightful guidance to the\u00a0ERGO team, resulting in a stable network connection. ERGO bid farewell to interrupted\u00a0operations, embracing a seamless network experience that enhanced productivity and\u00a0customer satisfaction.\u200b<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Disaster Recovery and Cost Optimization<\/strong>\u200b<\/h3>\n\n<p>In close collaboration with the\u00a0Blazeclan\u00a0team, ERGO developed a comprehensive disaster\u00a0recovery plan. Rapid deployment of the necessary infrastructure, coupled with meticulous\u00a0testing, ensured compliance with local authorities and bolstered their ability to safeguard\u00a0data and swiftly recover from potential disruptions. Moreover, ERGO was able to achieve and\u00a0maintain a CIS score of above 90% and was equipped to navigate any unforeseen challenges.\u200b<\/p>\n\n<p>Through stringent analysis, the\u00a0Blazeclan\u00a0team optimized ERGO&#8217;s EC2 and RDS resources,\u00a0eliminating unused instances and unlocking substantial cost savings. By leveraging AWS WAF,\u00a0Blazeclan\u00a0meticulously filtered and scanned application traffic, ensuring only desired and\u00a0secure interactions. ERGO&#8217;s infrastructure became a stronghold, enabling them to focus on\u00a0growth and innovation while mitigating risks.\u200b<\/p>\n\n<p>The\u00a0Blazeclan\u00a0team provided an ingenious solution,\u00a0offering a cost-effective yet practical infrastructure\u00a0setup. Leveraging load balancers and existing\u00a0resources,\u00a0Blazeclan\u00a0deployed the said application and\u00a0its database in different servers by creating a UAT\u00a0environment.
